Supporting Taking the Reins with a one time gift is greatly appreciated. You can help TTR finish the new barn or support a child, horse or barn animal. Many donors choose to sponsor a girl or animal for one session, which is $500.00 every six weeks.

We love monthly giving to support an animal or girl. You can choose the amount that is comfortable for you and know you are supporting something you love. Whatever you choose, you can rest assured your gift will have a positive affect on the life of a young woman.
Corporate Giving; Foundations & Trusts
Many corporations will offer to match monetary gifts you make to non-profits. Ask your company today! Also, if you have or are affiliated with a foundation or trust, larger gifts make a long term difference in the lives of under served girls in the Los Angeles Basin.

Come support our junior board this Saturday during their opportunity fair! We will also have dogs for adoption, information for high schools, raffles for a free week of summer camp, lunch, and much more. Free entry and lunch for a small fee of $10 (with all proceeds going back to our junior board)

Motherβs Day in the garden πͺ΄ πΌ π₯ π π©·
We made goodies for our studentβs moms and caretakers, including loose leaf tea from dried mugwort and calendula seeds we harvested and gathered. The girls harvested carrots from our garden, grated apples, and enjoyed the muffins we made with those ingredients. Then we made a nature weaving with recycled cardboard, hand picked flowers and greens. We also spent time on some garden projects that needed our attention. Finally, we would like to thank Ms. Alexis who is a volunteer that has been helping us for the last few weeks!

A big thank you this Teacher Appreciation Week goes out to Austin! Not only does he keep everything working properly looking beautiful on our property as the Facility Manager, but he also teaches our life skills class. This includes wood shop, car mechanics and many other things! π€

We have a very special new face in the barn! Purebred Arabian TA Prelude (βLukeβ) joined the herd early this week. Luke has a very decorated show record β earning 16 national championships and reserve national championships in western pleasure and ladies side saddle during his career. He has been owned and loved by Highland Pride Arabians, The Pigott Family since 2012. This is the third horse the Pigotts have shared with TTR over the years. We are so grateful to them! Help us welcome Luke to the TTR family!
