Hi human friends –

It’s Lovie and the rest of the horses from Taking the Reins here! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your families. People tell us that it’s a day to be grateful and a day with lots of yummy food. That sounds fun!

We are grateful for the hay, grain and supplements that Liz Aulestia (TTR Equine Manager) gives us every day. Unfortunately, the cost of our food, and other items, have doubled in the last year. We wish we could do something to help the humans at TTR pay for these things, but we haven’t figured out how to make money yet – since we’re horses after all!

The humans also tell us that the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is called #GivingTuesday. People raise awareness and money for places like Taking the Reins.

So, we are asking our human friends to help the TTR Equestrian Program in any way you can next Tuesday, November 29. We really love our life at TTR and want to help the people who take such good care of us!
