   I have been attending Taking the Reins for 7 years.
2. What are your post high school plans? If you are going to college, please provide the school and major.
   I will be attending University of California, Irvine. I am currently undeclared but hope to switch to Biological Sciences.
3. What is one of your favorite Taking the Reins memories?
   When I think of Taking of Reins I think of when I had just joined and it was a rainy day. A farrier had come to show us how they work and I vividly remember hearing the sound of rain hitting the floor and the faces of everyone focused and analyzing the words and motions of the Farrier.
4. What lessons learned at Taking the Reins will you take with you on this next phase of life?
   Throughout my time at Taking the Reins I’ve learned to take advantage of opportunities. It’s hard to know if you’re making the right decision but it’s better to have tried and given your best than give up wondering about the outcome.

   Community, Challenging, Freeing

   I have attended TTR almost for 6 years

   My plans are to attend a Farrier school

   My favorite memories at TTR is going on hikes with other girls
4. What lessons learned at Taking the Reins will you take with you on this next phase of life?
   I learned that we as humans have to be able to take some time for things that you want to do, because not everything is going to be quick to learn.

PENELOPE 

1. How long have you attended Taking the Reins?
   I’ve been attending TTR since I was 11—so about seven years.
2. What are your post-high school plans? If you are going to college, please provide the school and major.
   I plan to attend Santa Clara University and am majoring in psychology. I aim to get my Psy.D and specialize in geriatric psychology.
3. What is one of your favorite Taking the Reins memories?
   My favorite memories are my sessions with my older sister, Madeleine. It was a great way to bond; each day was filled with laughter.

4. What lessons learned at Taking the Reins will you take with you on this next phase of life?
   Throughout my life, I’ve learned not to let fear drive me and take risks to reach my fullest potential. At SCU, I will exemplify my quality of perseverance and courage through challenges I may face and can contribute today by simply not giving up.

VICTORIA

   I have attended Taking the Reins for 4 years.
2. What are your post high school plans? If you are going to college, please provide the school and major.
   I will be attending UC Riverside as a biochemistry major and hope to pursue a veterinary career.
3. What is one of your favorite Taking the Reins memories? 
   My favorite memory from taking the reins is riding Cyzzle through the sprinklers.
4. What lessons learned at Taking the Reins will you take with you on this next phase of life?
   Taking the Reins taught me to be more responsible, outgoing and more creative.
