Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. We hope you are inspired by the fact that thousands of people are giving to organizations all over the world. And, we are asking you to join them by giving right here in our community to Taking the Reins.
The impact of Taking the Reins is hard to measure for the girls who come here. And not because we don’t have statistics or figures to back up our work, but because being part of this community simply changes who they are as people. How can you properly measure what Joy says below?
“I have always struggled trying to find a place where I could be a part of. I am really grateful that TTR is a place where I have found a community.” – Joy T., Taking the Reins student and Junior Board President
Along with boosting confidence, creating friendships, building community, and providing leadership and educational opportunities, TTR fills necessary gaps in funding and in life experience for the girls who spend their time here. We want to be able to give them the best opportunities, while also reaching more girls in Los Angeles. We rely on your support to make that happen.
- Only 2% of national funding supports organizations that serve girls.
- 100% of Taking the Reins funding is used for our programming that is focused on girls in Los Angeles
- Kids spend, on average, 4 – 7 minutes outside daily
- One day at Taking the Reins is 6 hours or 360 minutes of outside time.
Give to Taking the Reins today to support our work. Your money stays here and changes lives. Please give what you are able to help us reach our #GivingTuesday goal of $2,000. No gift is too small.
